Of course, the 50+ murals located around Chemainus are a popular attraction, but there is so much more that the village offers. Its happening downtown area, centered on Willow Street, is a walkable area with local boutique, which include cafes, restaurants, gift shops, and antique stores. This is also the home of the Chemainus Public Market. The area around the Chemainus Ferry Terminal is the Downtown District, which similarly features small, local businesses and boutiques. 

Chemainus also has a number of parks and trails around the community, for those of all ages. Kinsman Beach Park is located by the waterfront, and has a playground for the kids to play on. Waterwheel Park is the community's centrally-located memorial park, found right next door to the Chemainus Valley Museum and the Chemainus Festival Of Murals Society.
