Qualicum North Real Estate
Typically regarded as the more affordable option (in comparison to the neighbouring Qualicum Beach), Qualicum North offers a more rural lifestyle. Homes for sale in this area are relatively secluded and situated on forested lots—the exception to this being some of the oceanfront properties.
When it comes to home styles, the Qualicum North real estate market includes West Coast designs in single-storey or multi-storey variations, as well as cottages and ranchers. Square footage ranges from home to home, but even smaller properties have large front and backyards, sometimes even with some acreage attached. Of course, some of the most desirable homes are those located on or near the waterfront, although unobstructed beach access is quite rare to come across.
Qualicum North Lifestyle
Despite being home to various small communities, the residents of Qualicum North are friendly and social. Events are often held at the community centre, and there are small parks and playgrounds throughout the area for the kids. The beaches are, as well, one of the major highlights of Qualicum North, although they are best suited for strolling along or for parking the RV.
Qualicum North also has numerous resorts and B&Bs, primarily located near the beach—three of the biggest being the Qualicum Bay First Nation Campground, Riverside Resort Qualicum Beach, and Qualicum Bay Resort. Larger communities nearby, such as Parksville and Qualicum Beach offer even more shopping and dining options.

These small businesses serve both year-round residents and the summer tourists that make their way through the community every year. Patrons enjoy the ample opportunities to buy local and support the community. For those searching for big box stores and chains, these are only located in surrounding towns and cities, such as Qualicum Beach, Parksville, Courtenay, and Nanaimo.
As Qualicum North has numerous rest stops and campsites, nature-lovers can experience a variety of destinations in and around the area. This includes hiking in the beautiful forest trails, climbing down to the rocky beach in the summertime, camping in one of the many parks (with tent and RV options), and more. West of the Qualicum North communities, away from the coast, are several natural areas that are very popular to visit. These include the caves at Horne Lake Regional Park, the water features at Little Qualicum Falls Provincial Park, and Spider Lake Provincial Park.
